Saying goodbye to the 8 south mural at CHOP

We are headed home this week. Jake wanted to say goodbye to the broken tile mural with stars and seahorses, down the hall from his room.

All three of us went for a Starbucks run, the first time that Jake has been outside since Dec 5th, more than a month now. Today he turned 11 months old. Had a very happy day, even though he's cutting tooth number 7, the fifth in Philly. He actually cut his second top tooth on Christmas day, just like the song.

We are anxious to get home, as you can only imagine.

Going on a trip

We had a fairly good summer with Jake, as you can see from the pictures on his site, but as of late he has been a bit unstable. We have maximized his medications and still are struggling to keep his glucose up in the right levels.

We are headed to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia next week for some specialized testing and possibly surgery. This will take several weeks but hopefully will help him in the long run.
